Clear Creek - Class III-IV

Clear Creek River provides a fun and challenging whitewater experience. The river traverses past Ponderosa Pine, Juniper, and Douglas Fir trees before tumbling though the old mining town of Idaho Springs. Wildlife such as river otter and big horn sheep can be observed along the way. The occasional bear may also appear. Mad Adventures offers morning and afternoon half-day trips. The sections we raft are about 30 minutes from Denver, 45 minutes from Winter Park, and 1-1/4 hours from Boulder. The river is run in paddle-powered rafts where you grab a paddle and, under the direction of a guide, help maneuver the boat through rapids. We provide life jackets, helmets, paddles and shuttles to and from our river office to the river.
